Having parted company with Reading University, Martin was quick to resume his academic career with The University of London, at the Northern Polytechnic, this time studying a BSc in Biology, Botany and Zoology. Along side his studies Martin continued to row, this time for London University. Despite his dedication to water sports he still succeeded in completing his degree with a 2:1.
