I had the pleasure of knowing Martin for 40+ years and will always remember him for Morris Dancing and Beekeeping. I also remember getting carried away at a harvest festival and paying over the odds for a jar of his honey - but it was worth every penny. He was a great person to talk to and I have had more conversations than I can remember over a great width of subjects; his knowledge was always valuable. When he spoke, I learned to listen as it was always worthwhile. As for the Morris dancing.....well, I never understood that!!! I am saddened to think that I will not get a chance to talk with him again, but have happy memories that will stay with me.
