Martin was such a knowledgeable and gentle man. Quizzes usually meant that we all learnt something - I particularly remember he knew why owls moved their heads up and down (to gauge distance). Gordon went ski-ing with Martin and Nicki on a few occasions, so he knew Martin before I did but we got to know him better when we moved to the village. Bees, basket-making, wildlife and so much more. We will miss him.
