He was such a gentle, intelligent, kind and funny man and we have so many fond memories: from my earliest one of Martin, in full bee-keeping gear, rescuing a swarm in Granny and Granpy's orchard to more recent times, teaching Abi and Ollie about local wildlife, pond life and, of course, bees. We are grateful for his patient teaching and quiet sense of humour and will miss him.
